About ESI
ESI Public Arts is a federally recognized 501(c)(3) non-profit educational community arts program.

ESI Public Arts projects work in cooperation with corporate sponsors, municipalities, schools, youth centers, and parks authorities to find appropriate locations for utilitarian beautification projects such as trash can receptacles, picnic tables, benches, columns, and walls. Durable ceramic tiles are painted by students and professional artists. They are then fired and affixed to these items. These ceramic tiles are so durable they last a lifetime and will not fade, scratch or crack due to environmental exposure.

ESI has been reaching, motivating, inspiring and educating K-12 students in the arts since 1993. Our public arts programs get children excited about community involvement and the arts, boost their self-esteem, focus their energy on constructive pursuits, and promote the beautification of their communities. ESI projects are brought to students and schools at no cost. Each installation is celebrated on location with an unveiling by the students for the public. ESI also recruits high school students, college interns, and local artists to serve as mentors to younger students.

ESI's community arts programs have resulted in many installations in the San Diego area and have been gratefully received by students, teachers, citizens, and local businesses alike.
