Below are excerpts from just a few of the many letters we have received from communities and schools which have taken part in ESI Public Arts projects.
As mayor of the beautiful city of Encinitas it is my distinct pleasure to recommend ESI Public Arts. ESI has done wonderful things in our StreetScape project and has touched the lives of many children in our school districts. Given them the opportunity to create and display their artwork is so exciting to them. We are delighted with the beautiful projects they have done and would highly recommend other municipalities to consider engaging ESI Public Arts for the many outstanding projects they can offer. Please take an opportunity to visit Encinitas and you will experience the work of ESI Public Arts at our beaches, parks, and even city hall."
Christie Guerin, Mayor, City of Encinitas, CA
ESI Public Arts projects have been widely received by the public and the city. The bollards, benches, and refuse receptacles decorated with tiles painted by local students and artists have greatly enhanced the city's public venues drawing and enthusiastic response from the community residents, businesses, and visitors alike. The artwork has blended very well with the beauty of Encinitas coastal landscape and downtown historic Highway 101 corridor. ESI Public Arts projects benefit the youth and local artists of Encinitas and contribute to the improvement of our natural landscape while showcasing the local community profile to visitors. We wish ESI Public Arts well."

As principle of Park Dale Lane Elementary School, I am pleased to share with you a warm comment from one of our parents. 'Mr. Hinger took time from his busy schedule to show Mrs. Luca' 6th grade students how to make an incredible tile table. It was an amazing experience for our kids!' I want to personally thank you for assisting us not only in such a professional way but a caring one as well. Park Dale Lane Elementary School is fortunate to have parents, community members, and business associates such as yourself working with our school in such a thoughtful way. Your professionalism was truly appreciated and made us feel like we were your number one priority."
Gale Patterso, Ed. D., Principal, Park Dale Lane Elementary School
I'd like to take this opportunity to express my sincere appreciation for the creative and inspiring eight-week after-school environmental sculpture class you conducted for the students at Rolling Hills Elementary School. The students were fortunate to have your instruction and expertise to create their individual wall plaques and then your guidance while they worked cooperatively to produce the life size piece of art that will be permanently displayed at our school. The students not only benefited by the opportunity to express themselves creatively and work together cooperatively but also gained valuable insights into the improtance of preserving out environment. I look forward to the prospect of your return next year to lead another group on an artistic adventure."
Lynn Harvey, GATE Coordinator, Rolling Hills Elementary School, Rancho Bernardo, CA
Just a note to let you know how pleased we are with out new "Big D" recycled art installation created by our students in the their Teen Scene class after school here at Diegueno Junior High School! Thank you for thinking of the Library Media Center as a gallery where all our students can appreciate art from found objects!"
Audry Clark and Claire Burns, Diegueno Junior High School Library and Media Center
Thank you for the environmental sculpture class that you taught at Diegueno Junior High School through the City of Encinitas Teen Scene program. The students who participated in your class loved it. We appreciate the donation of one of the projects for display in our media center. We are certainly looking at "trash" in a different way as a result of your class. The sculptures provided a great way for kids to think abut our environment, have a creative experience, and have fun!"
Mary Bess Nadolski, Principal, Diegueno Junior High School, Encinitas, CA
ESI Public Arts' dedication and commitment to the students and staff here at Teen Quest San Diego has been extraordinary. Their work here at Teen Quest has been a valuable resource and support for us all."
Ben White, Teen Quest, San Diego County Office of Education
ESI Public Arts has been a great asset since teaching art at Teen Quest High School, a school for homeless and at-risk youth. Many of our students have difficulty expressing themselves, however, they are able to do so through their art. ESI has enabled this by dedicating your time and knowledge of the arts. Your weekly visits to Teen Quest have taught my students to appreciate art and have made it possible for the class to attend numerous local museums. The staff and students at Teen Quest truly appreciate ESI for your hard work and devotion."
Debbie DeMichele, Teacher, Teen Quest High School
I would like to personally thank you for the environmental sculpture classes taught at the Vista Academy of Visual & Performing Arts. Not only did you expose our students to a beautiful form of art but gave them a lifelong lesson on recycling for our environment. Our students enthusiasm carried over into their homes where many families have started looking at 'throw aways' in a different light. The final sculpture is a beautiful sight and enhances our school campus. It is wonderful for a principal to see students in active discussion describing the piece and how it was constructed. Thank you again for enlightening our students in environmental art. I would also like to thank you for displaying some of you pieces around our campus."
Rodney Goldenberg, Principal, Vista Academy of Visual and Performing Arts, Vista, CA
Thank you for bringing your sculptures to our school's library/media center for display. The students really enjoyed them and were intrigued by your use of "trash" for art materials. I overheard several conversations between students concerning how they could use their own trash and it into treasures at home. During our "loan" period, we also had an open house for parents and several school district meetings. Everyone expressed real interest in and appreciation of your art. Thank you!"
